Master Your Fertility Timeline

Planning for pregnancy requires knowing your body’s rhythm. Use our Ovulation Calculator to pinpoint your most fertile days and take the guesswork out of conception planning.

What is the “Fertile Window”?

The fertile window is the period of time during your menstrual cycle when you are most likely to conceive. It typically lasts for about six days: the five days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation itself.

Because sperm can survive in the female reproductive tract for up to five days, having intercourse during this window creates the highest probability of pregnancy.

How Cycles Vary

The calculator assumes ovulation occurs 14 days before your next period. If you have a different cycle length, please adjust the slider:

  • 21-day cycle: Ovulation usually around Day 7.
  • 28-day cycle: Ovulation usually around Day 14.
  • 35-day cycle: Ovulation usually around Day 21.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I use this for birth control?
No. This tool is for educational purposes and should not be used as a primary method of birth control. Natural cycle tracking is not 100% accurate and does not protect against STIs.
2. What if my cycle is irregular?
If your cycle varies significantly from month to month, an ovulation calculator may not be accurate. Consider tracking other physiological signs like basal body temperature or cervical mucus, or consult your OB-GYN.
3. How long does the egg live?
An egg can only survive for about 12-24 hours after release during ovulation. This is why the fertile window is mostly determined by the survival of the sperm (up to 5 days).
4. Is the conception date exact?
It is an estimate. Because sperm can wait for an egg for days, having intercourse on Tuesday doesn’t necessarily mean you conceived on Tuesday. Conception occurs when the sperm finally fertilizes the egg, which can happen 0 to 5 days after intercourse.
5. Are my results guaranteed?
No. These dates are based on mathematical averages. Biology varies. For official medical advice or pregnancy tracking, always consult your physician.
